Editing wiki entries of other wiki members.

Hi everyone!

I haven’t written in a while… at least it feels like it… the weather has been terrible… with rain and snow recently falling… it’s spring time and everything’s melting… there’s mud all over… ugh!… Kind of difficult to walk on the streets… but there are also sunny days that are just wonderful for a walk outside!

This week, I’ve been visiting different wiki websites and it was fun how everyone was having these different ideas and themes on their wikis… these are the following that I visited: www.not4kids.wetpaint.com, iroxanai.wetpaint.com, irresistible.wetpaint.com and several others. I onjoyed reading the different things that these people had to say about the topics they were interested in…

I liked the one about Leonardo Da Vinci and the movie: “Arthur and th Miniputs.” Some websites allowed me to edit their pages and it was fun editing them because I could make some changes to the text…

I also left some comments on those websites as a part of an assignment that Mr. Emrich gave us… Some wikis didn’t allow me to leave a comment, however, most of others did…

So it was interesting to read other people’s comments and to leave one of my own…

Writing a Wiki entry over the holidays.

Well, I guess I haven’t been here for a long time! This time the assingment was to write about our exprience of creating the wiki entry on our wetpaint accounts.

What I wrote about was Jackie Kennedy, whom I am really interested in, what else was there… oh, that’s rights, the greatest revolutionary of Cuba- Fidel Castro, in whom I was surprised because he isn’t really a bad guy as many westerners portray him… Also about the president before Fidel Castro- Batista… forgot, his first name… it’s kind of complicated….

Well, anyways, it was rather easy posting my entries there on my friends website but I couldn’t figure out how to post the pictures… I mean, it’s easier on a weblog because the buttons are right below the text so I don’t have to look for them… and don’t have to find out how to post a picture… but I’vegot to figure out a way to post pictures on the wiki…

Also, i saw my friends entries there already… she told me that if we want to post something it’s like creating another page… it’s not adding stuff to the same page… well I guess I could do that if I edited something on her page…

Well, I’ve posted topics of my interest there anyways so now I’ve got some other stuff to do…

My favourite Artist: Edgar Degas.

 Edgar Degas was a famous sculptor and artist. I really like his paintings because he drew ballerinas ‘in motion’. A sI will post here there are some paintings that are famous and that have been seen by many people, whereas others are, I guess not that famous.

Here they are:

1.    This painting is called “Rehearsal”, 1873-1875

2.   This is one of the famous paintings Degas painted. I like the way he drew with pastels.

Creating a wetpaint account.

Hi guys, this week our class in New Information Technologies was creating a wiki account each.

At first I wasn’t too enthusiastic about the idea but as I was creating the account it had more services than the wordpress.com. I also liked choosing the themes for my weblog. Although I had a hard time choosing my new theme.

The main interesting feature about it was that I could invite a grop of people I select to edit and do anything on my weblog!

So I had to send invitations to my group in class and we decided to write about Famous/Great people. I received some invitations from my friends.

I guess the main thing is to explore everything and try it out myself. I have to try out every widget and stuff to find out how this weblog works.
